Performance

Rashmika Mandanna is the biggest asset of the film, despite the love story the main theme of the movie runs around her. She has given a brilliant performance as Lilly, she is cute, lovable, nailed the emotional scenes, the magical chemistry of her with Vijay Deverakonda is a delight to watch. The strong efforts she put in to learn cricket is visible and her cricket playing scenes are very good.

Vijay Deverakonda is given multiple shades in the movie and he excelled in delivering that is expected by him by the director. His transformation from an aggressive college student to heartbroken lover to a matured man who knows what he really wants to do in life, all the different phase of his character Vijay has done it effortlessly. Compared to the first half, in the second half of the movie audiences, will see a never seen Vijay Deverakonda with a settled performance and exploring the real definition of “Comrade” and the central theme of the film.

Shruti Ramachandran did her best in the given role. Dear Comrade friends gang did justice to their characters and especially Suhas as Martin was neat in the limited role. The actor who has played the cricket selector did a commendable job.

Bottom LineNot everyone’s cup of tea but it has its special moments with an extraordinary performance from lead pair.
