Story :
The period drama opens at Buckingham palace in London and with the voiceover of Power Star Pawan Kalyan as he introduces Rani Jhansi Lakshmibhai (Anushka Shetty) character. It’s the year 1857 and Rani Jhansi Lakshmibhai army is neck deep troubles losing the battel to British Raj. To boost up the confidence levels of her soldiers, Rani Jhansi Lakshmibhai gives a pep talk about the first freedom fighter of India aka Narasimha Reddy. Rest of the story describes regarding the life of Narasimha Reddy from his childhood till his last breath for his motherland fighting against British Rule in India.

Chiranjeevi has mentioned on many occasions that Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is his dream project and he has lived his dream to the fullest doing complete justice to the role of first freedom fighter of India. The first thing that comes to your notice is breathtaking action sequences that Chiranjeevi has done with ease without using anybody double in Sye Raa movie. Special mentions to his underwater sequences, his sword fights, and the slow-motion shots will be a treat to all the mega fans. The powerful dialogues have got the required impact because of the performance of Chiranjeevi living in the character of Narasimha Reddy.

Jagapathi Babu is brilliant in the emotional scenes and he made his presence felt in every scene he appears on a big screen. Kiccha Sudeep has got a bit of more screen time compared to other key cast members and he impresses with his unique body language, expressions justifying his character. Vijay Sethupathi comes in the second half and even though it’s a small role he nailed it with his natural acting skills.

Amitabh Bachchan is the only actor who deserves to play the guru of Megastar Chiranjeevi and the scenes between them are treat to watch when two superstars are in the same frame. Nayantara's role was not very long but she pulled it off when given opportunity with her amazing performance. Tamannaah is the surprise element of Sye Raa film, her dancing skills are used perfectly and she did her best bringing believability to the character of Lakshmi. But her love track with Chiranjeevi did not turn out as expected by the director.
