Story

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior movie story is all about the popular Sinhagarh that took place in 1670 between the Maratha army and Mughals army for the Kondhana fort. How Tanhaji Malusare (Ajay Devgn) with his Maratha soldiers won the Kondhana fort from Mughal fort keeper Udaybhan Singh (Saif Ali Khan) has to be watched on the big screen.

Performances

Ajay Devgn kept his heart and soul into the character of Tanaji Malusare that is visually evident in every scene he acted in the movie. His emotional side with his wife, mom and his urge to get back the respect to Maratha people by capturing the Kondhana fort has come out really well. Then the Martha dialogues and his action part in the battle sequences added more weight to his performance.

Kajol has played the reel life wife character to Ajay Devgn after a decade but still, the couple has that magical chemistry between them that’s beautiful to watch. Well, Kajol's role lacks scope for performance but she gave her best playing a key role in the film impressing with her acting in limited scenes. Sharad Kelkar acted and looked his part as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and same in the case of Luke Kenny as Aurangzeb making the character believable with his acting.

Padmavati Rao was effective in the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's mother Rajmata Jijabai. Finally, its Saif Ali Khan who will be taking a big pie of the cake with his performances as Udaybhan Singh Rathore. He was the perfect choice to play the role with multiple shades and right now he is best to portray a grey shade with yet most convincing capabilities in the Hindi film industry. Saif Ali Khan is one of the highlights of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior movie and his character will be remembered for a long time because of natural acting.
