Story

Michael (Vijay) is an ex-football player, because of some personal reasons he walks out of his favorite game and leads his life as a messiah. Because of his past, he has got enemies who want to kill him and in one of the attacks made by a local gang Michael friend Kiran (Kathir) gets hospitalized with serious injuries. This forces Michael to lead the women football team and win a major tournament. Why Michael left football? What is Michael's past? Did he got welcomed as a women football coach and won the tournament or not? Forms the rest of the story.

Performance

Vijay has played the dual role of Michael and Rajappa similar to his last film in Atlee's direction. Vijay has given his best in both the roles and there is not even a single complaint about his acting in both characters. Rajappa was more of a mass touch given to it and Vijay excels in aged man role with his voice modulation along with perfect makeup on him. Then Michael is for current youth with a pinch of thrills, action, love track, comedy, emotional scenes and especially the football playing skills are treat to watch for his fans.

Nayanthara as Angle was cute but her role doesn’t have much scope for performance and even the love track looks outdated without any freshness. Vivek and Yogi Babu have taken over the entertainment with their comic timing evoking laughs in the cinema hall. Jackie Shroff as antagonist has done a commendable job and the girls in the football team shine with their natural raw acting.
